Useful words, made useless

Bill Walsh (night copy desk chief at the Washington Post) points out on his Blogslot that “Obama Calls America Wicked” by using the word enormity.

I think enormity’s meaning is being lost, and there’s not much to be done about it. Too bad, becasue(d’oh) because  a word that means “great wickedness” is a fun word indeed.
