John McIntyre has a great post over at You Don't Say today about ignoring the nutty railings of pundits on the right and left, and he puts the lie to the oft-made statement that the national discourse is more polarized than it has ever been. His argument for not getting worked up over political hyperbole would be well-taken by anyone, no matter what their political bent is:
